- Calendar Enter Data Help
- Each monthly notes file can be changed
- using the Calendar Enter Data routine.
- First select the desired month, then
- select Enter Data from the calendar menu.
- While entering monthly notes you can use
- UP, DOWN, PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, HOME, END,
- INSERT & DELETE. SHIFT + DOWN adds a
- line, SHIFT + UP Removes a line. Month
- files are limited to 400 lines, adding a
- line deletes line 400.
- Calendar Help
- With the Calendar you can select any
- month of any year. The current day is
- highlighted. To view notes for a given
- month select the month from the Calendar
- menu and use the UP, DOWN, PAGE UP, PAGE
- DOWN, HOME, and END keys. See Hot Key
- List for a list of short cut keys that
- are used for selecting; Next, Previous,
- and Current month. (Also available from
- the Calendar menu along with Select Month)
- Change Colors Help
- To change the colors used between the top
- and bottom lines of the screen select the
- Change Colors function from the Option
- Menu. Use the cursor keys to select your
- color choice. Use the SPACE Bar or TAB
- to change fields. Pressing <ENTER> will
- save the current selections. Press F10
- to change to the default color set.
- Monochrome can be set when starting the
- program with the -M command line option.
- Directory Add Help
- To add a record to the Directory use the
- Add selection from the Directory menu or
- Press F7 (Shortcut key). Use the UP and
- DOWN arrow keys to select fields within
- the new record and type in your data.
- When data input is complete, you press
- <Ctrl><ENTER> to add the new record, or
- press the <ESC> key to cancel. The new
- record can then be inserted ahead of the
- current record or appended to the end.
- Directory Copy Help
- Use the Copy function to copy records
- from the current directory to another
- directory which you specify. The current
- record, records marked for copy, or a
- range of records can be copied. Records
- copied will be added to the end of the
- specified directory. Records can be
- marked for copy by pressing C while in the
- directory view mode. To unmark a record
- just press C again.
- Directory Delete Help
- The current record, records marked for
- deletion, or a range of records can be
- deleted from the current directory. Care
- should be taken when using the delete
- functions. When deleting a large number
- of records it is a good idea to make a
- back up copy of the directory first.
- Records can be marked for deletion by
- pressing D in the directory view mode.
- Unmark a record by again pressing D.
- Directory Edit Help
- To Edit a specific Directory record first
- select the record to be edited in the View
- Mode then use the Edit selection from the
- Directory Menu or Press F5 (Shortcut key).
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to select
- the field of the record to be edited and
- type in the changes. When done press
- <Ctrl><ENTER> to accept the changes or
- press <ESC> to keep the original record
- data.
- Directory Find Help
- To Find a specific Directory record use
- the Find selection from the Directory
- Menu or Press F4 (Shortcut key). Select
- the field to search with the UP and DOWN
- arrow keys, then type in data for match.
- Press <Ctrl><ENTER> to begin the search
- and the routine will find the first match.
- You can find another match by repeating
- this procedure from the current match.

- Directory Help
- The Directory is a phone & address file
- that can be used for mailing lists and
- with the Phone Dialer. To view records
- in the Directory select View from the
- directory menu. Then use the UP, DOWN,
- PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, HOME and END keys.
- To find a certain record select Find
- from the Directory menu. The Directory
- can also be viewed using the Quick View
- mode, this shows more records at a time.
- Directory Jump Help
- To use the directory jump function,
- select it from the directory menu. You
- will then be asked for a record number.
- Type in a record number and press <ENTER>.
- The program will then display the record
- that you have chosen. This function is
- especially useful if you have built up a
- large directory and need to move within
- it very quickly.

- Directory Sort Help
- To Sort the Directory by a given field
- use the Sort selection from the directory
- Menu or Press F6 (Shortcut key). Then
- use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to select
- the field from which to Sort the Directory
- & press <Ctrl><ENTER>. The sort works
- directly with the file on disk to allow for
- large directories. Because disk sorts are
- slow, a large file will take quite a while
- to complete.
- Export ASCII Help
- The Export ASCII option allows you to
- store calendar or directory information
- in an ASCII text file. This data can then
- be used with your word processor or text
- editor. Select your menu choice with the
- arrow keys and follow the instructions
- given.

- General Help
- Press F10 to access the menu bar at the
- top of the screen. Then select your choice
- of functions using the arrow keys and press
- <ENTER>. You can select from Calendar,
- Directory, Option and Help Menus. Select
- Help Index from the Help menu to read more
- specific information on individual functions.
- Helpful messages are also displayed at the
- bottom of the screen to help you determine
- what course of action you may take.
- New File Help
- This option allows you to specify a new
- file for the phone and address directory.
- Any legal DOS file name is excepted as
- long as the extension is .TMC. If the
- file does not exist the program will
- create a new one. Use this option to
- keep separate directories, for example:
- your friends in one and your business
- associates in another.

- Phone Dialer Help
- To Use this option you must have a Modem
- which uses standard AT commands and you
- need to select the correct port that your
- Modem uses with the Set COM Port function
- in the Option Menu. When using the Phone
- Dialer, the phone number for the current
- directory record will be displayed and
- you may change it before dialing.
- Hyphens (-) are displayed for your
- convenience and are not required.
- Print Calendar Help
- To print a Calendar or the Monthly notes
- use the Print Calendar selection from the
- Options menu. Then use the UP and DOWN
- arrow keys to select your choice of print
- functions and press <ENTER>. After that
- Just follow the instructions given.
- When asked for a month, type in the
- number corresponding to the month you
- have chosen. (1-12 = January-December)

- Print Directory Help
- To print Directory information use the
- Print Directory selection from the Options
- menu. Then use the UP and DOWN arrow keys
- to select your choice of print functions
- and press <ENTER>. After that just follow
- the instructions given. Depending on your
- menu choice you will then be asked for the
- width of the margin, number of lines that
- separate records and the mail lists that
- you wish to print.
- Printer Control
- The printer control option is used to send
- a linefeed or a page eject (form feed) to
- your printer. A linefeed advances the
- paper one line and the page eject moves
- the paper to the top of the next page
- ejecting the current page from the
- printer. These functions are normally
- available as buttons on the front or top
- of your printer. Select your choice with
- the UP & DOWN arrow keys and press <ENTER>.
- Directory Quick View Help
- Use the following keys to scroll through
- the directory data: UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT,
- PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, CTRL-LEFT, CTRL-RIGHT
- HOME, END, CTRL-HOME and CTRL-END.
- Press ENTER to set the View current record
- number to the same as Quick View or ESC to
- exit Quick View without changing the View
- record number.
